This book was concise and very entertaining. I'm teaching myself Spanish and have been looking for things to expand my vocabulary. The pictures help make the words stick. Pretty simple and pretty basic. Good for kids, but I wouldn't recommend it for adults.
Very practical one liners that may be used everyday
Wanted more sentence dialogue between people in same format.
All in all - a good start
The title didn't lie this really is for beginners. They're mostly basic tourist phrases (like "where is the bathroom?"), which have their uses, but I was hoping for something a little more in depth. The drawings are cute, though.
This is a fun little cartoon book for learning some BASIC Spanish phrases, and it includes pronunciation guides. It doesn't have complete (sample) conversations, but it's a start. I'd like to see more along this line.
I bought this as an adult living in a state where Spanish is spoken a lot so I thought this would be a fun way to learn some words and phrases and it was. I'm sure it would be great for kid's, but I can't say for sure because I don't have any. I enjoyed it and through it was clever and easy easy to learn.
With the simple, Thurber-esque drawings accompanying the text, this brief offering is a very approachable and enjoyable way to learn a language. The concept is good. It could easily be expanded, though it would be greatly improved with the help of good editing.
I love the funny illustrations. Makes it easy to learn and remember. This book is great for young and adults alike. Contains a list of common phrases everyone should know.
